✈️ The Growing Attractiveness of BER as a Transport Hub
A Berlin Brandenburg Airport spokesperson said, “With more flights to popular destinations and the addition of new European and intercontinental services to the flight schedule, the attractiveness of BER as a transport hub is growing.” This summer, you can travel to 49 countries directly from BER, thanks to flights offered by 64 airlines.
🇺🇸 Increased Connections to the United States
May sees a focus on connections to the west with the USA: United Airlines is set to launch its direct capital-to-capital service between BER and Washington/Dulles on May 26. On that same day, Delta Air Lines will start its service to New York JFK. This means that from the end of May, three airlines – NORSE Atlantic Airways, United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines – will be flying to the Big Apple.
🌏 In-demand Intercontinental Destinations
Intercontinental connections to Egypt, Qatar, Tunisia, and Singapore are expected to be the most in demand this summer, according to the summer flight schedule at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Additionally, Hainan Airlines will further increase its direct flights to Beijing, with a second weekly flight to the Chinese capital planned from April.
🌴 Explore Europe with Additional Connections and New Destinations
The summer flight schedule also includes additional connections within Europe, as well as attractive new destinations for cultural trips, city breaks, or beach holidays. Eurowings will fly to 30 destinations this summer, such as Mediterranean hotspots Ibiza, Nice, and Alicante, and northern destinations Gothenburg, Helsinki, and Copenhagen. To the east, FLYONE is planning flights to the capital of the Republic of Moldova, Chișinău, from mid-May, while Ryanair continues its connection to Banja.
