New Base Strengthens Connections

With the new base in Graz, Eurowings is not only enhancing popular connections to Southern Europe, but also making Northern Germany more accessible for business and tourism in Styria. The airline’s expansion in Graz is based on strong partnerships with Graz Airport and TUI Austria, demonstrating a commitment to the region.

Increased Presence at Graz Airport

Eurowings Europe CEO Stefan Beveridge expressed excitement about the airline’s growing presence at Graz Airport, which will bring more Eurowings flights to Styria. Wolfgang Grimus, CEO of Graz Airport, shared that with the expansion, Eurowings becomes one of their most important location partners.

New Direct Flights to Four Destinations

The new base at Graz Airport enables direct flights to four new destinations, further connecting Styria internationally. Werner Amon, State Councilor for Europe, International Affairs, Education, and Personnel, emphasized the importance of ongoing internationalization and development for the region.

Boosting Graz Economy and Tourism

City Councilor Manfred Eber highlighted the expansion’s positive impact on Graz’s economy and its status as Southern Austria’s most important airport. City Councilor GΓΌnter Riegler added that the increased collaboration with Eurowings will be especially beneficial for tourism between Graz and cities like Berlin and Hamburg.

Expanded Flight Program for Summer 2023

Eurowings’ expanded flight program for summer 2023 includes new destinations like Chania (Crete), Larnaca, Hurghada, Karpathos, Corfu, Kos, and Rhodes, providing travelers with more options for vacationing in Greece, Egypt, and Cyprus. In addition, Mallorca will be serviced up to three times a week from Graz.

Strengthened Connections to Germany

Eurowings is also enhancing its city connections to Germany, offering up to five weekly flights to Berlin and up to four weekly flights to Hamburg starting May 5th. Travelers from Graz can now choose between three German city destinations, including the eight weekly flights to DΓΌsseldorf.

Winter Flight Schedule Expansion

Eurowings has partially revealed its winter flight schedule for 2023/24, which includes two weekly flights from Graz to Hurghada and new flights to the Canary Islands – twice a week to Gran Canaria and once a week to Tenerife. More city connections to Germany are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
