Thanks to the European Commission supporting ten projects to ease traveling in Europe, a weekend trip to London was never easier.

From Amsterdam to London

In an effort to enhance connectivity between Europe and the United Kingdom, Dutch rail operator Spoorwegen is planning to expand the route between London and Amsterdam. According to the European Commission’s model, the planned stops will include Belgium’s capital, Brussels, and Lille in northern France. Travelers from Cologne will be able to access the new route via two connections.

The Thalys train operates multiple times a day from Cologne’s main station to Brussels, and will eventually exclusively run under the Eurostar brand. Additionally, the ICE train of Deutsche Bahn will serve the route between Cologne Deutz station and Amsterdam Centraal station several times a day, acting as the starting point for the new European route.

Amsterdam

Famous for its canals and picturesque city center, Amsterdam is the starting point of this new train connection. The city is bustling with life and has such an amazing atmosphere that draws tourists from all around the world. One of the best ways to explore this vibrant city is undoubtedly to go there by train and take a day to stroll through the streets before you continue your journey to London.

Brussels
